West Delaware County Community School District is seeking a full time Brain Health Retreat Room Liaison. A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Applied Psychology, School Counseling or equivalent in a related brain health field is required. A social work degree or licensure and experience in the brain health field is preferred.
Basic Functions
• Play an integral role in the development of a Brain Health Retreat Room in a high school setting
• Be the sole employee who staffs the Brain Health Retreat Room
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with students/parents and school staff through building trust and regular communication
Performance and Responsibilities
• Develop brief intake and exit assessment for students visiting the Brain Health Retreat Room
• Provide calming atmosphere to allow for students to regain self-regulation
• Provide brief intervention for students who experience high anxiety or other brain health issues
• Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and manage multiple student needs simultaneously
• Maintain required records and perform annual program evaluation
• Locate and mobilize community resources to support students
• Serve on both school-based and district committees to address program development and student needs
• Routinely communicate with school and district staff/administration as it relates to student progress
• Support and implement district policies, regulations, procedures, and administrative directives
• Other duties as assigned

• 195-day contract aligning to school year
