The Post Surgery/Urology unit seeks motivated and autonomous nursing staff to join our dynamic team. Services include post-surgical care following general surgeries and urology procedures. Examples of most frequent seen surgeries include bowel resection, mastectomy, thoracotomy, prostatectomy, cholecystectomy, and nephrectomy. The department cares for patients recovering from diagnoses such as a pneumothorax, kidney stones, spleen injuries, and diverticulitis. The Post Surgery/Urology unit specializes in caring for patients following gastric bypass surgery. We also care for overflow medical patients. Your best life. Our one purpose.

About the job:
Under limited supervision, provides nursing care to assigned patients by utilizing the nursing process and meeting the established standards within the nursing department. The registered nurse is accountable for his/her nursing practice and assigned patients, and is an advocate for patient/families and nursing. Adheres to the principles of Service Excellence Guiding Behaviors and the philosophy and mission of Mercy in all aspects of job performance.
What you will do:
Utilize the nursing process to implement the plan of care
Care for post- surgical cases from general surgery, vascular surgery, urology surgery to trauma surgeries
What we are looking for:
Associates or Bachelors prepared RN
RN with active license
Have or obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support
