ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish and maintain warehouse processes. Problem solve and work with operators to continuously improve processes.
Perform time studies to resolve workflow problems.
Maintain and update Plan for Every Part (PFEP).
Work with Material Flow Engineer, Supervisor, and Group Leads to make incremental improvements to material delivery and storage.
Assist with pilot build readiness including staging and delivering parts, determining PFEP for new parts, and reconciling inventory after builds.
Become familiar with Warehouse Management System (WMS) and troubleshoot issues.
Manage material flow to the assembly line.
Team members are expected to work wherever needed based on training.
Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school diploma or GED required.
2-year technical degree preferred
3-5 years manufacturing experience preferred, must have solid understanding of assembly processes
Strong analytical skills and proven leadership abilities
Superior knowledge of warehouse processes
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Experience working with WMS, Excel, AS400, and BOMs
Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software and applications
Able to work with little or no supervision
Continuous improvement mindset
Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts
Innovative and open to new ideas and must support and understand Lean Manufacturing concepts.
Flexibility for overtime, including some weekends, as needed (often tied to Line production schedule)
