About the position:

  • We’re looking for an experienced Engineer to be part of our Manufacturing Engineering team. This is an exciting role that gives you an insight into many aspects of the company and will put your Engineering skills to use. In this role, you will:
  • Conceptualize, design, and develop precision tools, fixtures, and automated systems for various fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills required for working with cross-functional teams, including production, R&D, and quality assurance, to ensure tool designs meet project requirements and specifications.
  • Strong pruriency in CAD software, including Ignition, to create detailed 2D and 3D models of tools, considering factors such as ergonomics, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail required.
  • Experience in electrical engineering is a plus.
  • Controls Systems Integration:

  • Proven experience in tool design with a focus on precision and automation.

  • In-depth knowledge of control systems, PLC programming, and HMI design, and Ignition required taking into account safety, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with electrical and automation engineers to ensure a holistic approach to tool design and control systems integration.
  • Testing and Validation:

  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of tool designs to ensure functionality and reliability in real-world manufacturing environments.

  • Identify and troubleshoot any issues related to controls and automation, making necessary adjustments to improve performance.
  • Documentation:

  • Create comprehensive documentation for tool designs, including drawings, specifications, and user manuals.

  • Maintain accurate records of design iterations, changes, and updates, especially those related to Ignition software, to facilitate future improvements and modifications

  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies related to tool design and controls, including advancements in Ignition software.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices within the engineering team.

This position is 1st Shift

About the work environment:

Works in a factory setting. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in accordance with Company policy. For forklift operation, required to obtain and maintain Forklift Driver Certification through the Company and operate the forklift in a safe manner. Required to stand for long periods of time and manually lift/move/manipulate parts up to 50 pounds or use cranes/hoists to move heavier materials. Temperatures may be extreme; elevated in the summer, cold in the winter. Needs to be able to cope with stressors and demands that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable and defined levels of performance are maintained.

About you:

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering or any engineering based Bachelor’s degree with experience in manufacturing/industrial engineering.

One or more years of engineering experience is required, five years of experience preferred.

Strong analytical ability to recognize need for modification of procedures or processes is required.

About the total compensation package:

Salary - $70,702 - $90,504 per year depending on candidates education and experience. Relocation - This position may qualify for relocation.
