ALMACO Customer Support Technician in NEVADA, Iowa

ALMACO is currently searching for aiCustomer Support Technicianito assist our clients with diagnostics and parts ordering for our custom ag equipment. Our Support Technicians are the first point of contact with clients if they need replacement parts, if their machines need preventative maintenance, or if they have questions about how their machine is running or need assistance in how to use their equipment.iThis position is a great fit for an individual who has a mechanical background or ag machinery experience but wants a job in a climate-controlled, office environment.iThis is a great opportunity for you because:You enjoy talking to people on the phone and enjoy puzzling out how to resolve the issues they describe.You have a good understanding of potential mechanical issues and are comfortable talking through technical information with clients.You understand the need for supporting the client at the highest level and delighting the client in every interaction.Job Responsibilities:Provides support to clients via phone conversations and email messages regarding information, diagnostics, and parts orderingTrouble-shoots, diagnoses, and resolves mechanical and electrical problemsIdentifies parts that are needed and initiates parts orders accurately and quicklyCoordinates with Field Service Technicians to elevate issues as necessary and to schedule on-site service and supportProvides education and technical information about our productsAnswers the "on-call" phone on nights and weekends when assignedMaintains internal documentation to track customer relationships and ongoing equipment issuesiRequirements for success in the Customer Support Technician role:A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, and an Associate's Degree or Trade/Technical school certification is preferredExperience using, maintaining, or trouble-shooting ag equipment is preferred, but any type of previous mechanical experience would be helpfulAn excellent manner with clients so they feel appreciated, respected, and cared forTechnical Requirements:Valid Driver's License and a driving record that meets ALMACO standards for insurance purposesiAbout ALMACO:iALMACO is the leader in providing innovative solutions to our clients in the seed research industry.
