We are hiring an Elevator Superintendent for our Rail Terminal in Nevada Iowa (10 miles east of Ames, IA). In this role, you will be leading and working alongside the team of grain operation employees who are responsible for grain handling and plant maintenance.

This role is for you if you have:

· High school diploma or GED and 3-5 years experience in grain, maintenance, agriculture, farming, equipment operation, or other relatable experience.

· Valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a CDL with required endorsements.

· Willingness to obtain a Pest Control Applicators License.

· Ability to work longer hours during peak seasons.

· An outstanding work ethic with ability to pay attention to the details.

· Ability to always project a positive attitude to customers and employees while exhibiting good customer relations skills.

What you will be doing:

· Leading efforts to maintain grain quality and handling. Keeping good grain condition, and monthly facility inspections, as by OSHA inspection standard.

· Assisting the Grain Operations Lead in coordinating grain movement between other Key locations and processors.

· Monitoring grain inventory quality/condition and completing weekly inventory reports.

· Coordinating and performing the dumping and receiving of producers' grain.

· Binning grain by type and quality factors.

· Blending and loading out grain as directed to meet contract grade and weight specifications.

· Performing required preventative maintenance and having all preventive maintenance reports turned in on time.

· Cleaning up grain spills; leading efforts to keep all inside and outside work areas extremely neat and orderly.

· Displaying reliable attendance and scheduling time-off with advance notice.

· Promoting the business with existing and potential customers.
