Iowa Employer Senior Accountant in SIOUX CITY, Iowa
Looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Sioux City, Iowa. The senior accounting role is responsible for monitoring prepayment contracts, daily cash balancing, assisting with month-end close, financial analysis and reporting. This role is also responsible for various balance sheet reconciliation, intercompany balancing between IFCo and OCI Fertilizers USA and help in preparation of PBC reports for audits. This role will ensure that accounting procedures are followed and accuracy is maintained in the recording of revenue and expenses for OCI Fertilizers USA (Sales office). In addition, this role will provide support in financial modeling and providing management information for budgets, forecasting and cash flow.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAt a minimum, tasks will include:i Supervision of staff accountanti Preparation of balance sheet reconciliationi Variance reporting i sales, price, customer, product, source, volume, etc.i Freight analysis, transportation cost analysis, and reporting accuracyi Prepayment contract monitoring / clearing for intercompany receivablesi Develop, audit, and revise the fixed fee for intercompany charges and feesi Cash flow analysisi Daily tracking of sales, commitments, pre-sales, inventory levels, and net-backs; develop and audit dashboard; monitor cut-off closelyi Daily cash balancingi Review of outstanding items in goods receipt / invoice receipt account; resolution of any outstanding issuesi Various month-end close responsibilities, including journal entriesi Assist with monthly and quarterly internal reportingi Assist in preparation of PBC reports for auditsi Occasional travel to Des Moines, IAExperience and Qualification:i Bacheloris Degree in Accounting or Finance.i 3 i 5 years of accounting experience and/or training.i Public Accounting experience and CPA certification and/or MBA a plusi SAP experience required.Employer provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
