With more than 40 years of expertise, we support brands across industries, including media, nonprofits, utilities and consumer products.Our one-stop-shop mailing services help our client's simplify the process of preparing, printing and mailing communications, leveraging economies of scale and deep postal discounts without sacrificing quality or speed.We produce and mail 535 million pieces annually using seamless programs that handle the printing, mailing of promotions, acknowledgements, bills, renewals and more.What You Will Do as a Sorter OperatorOperates the sorting equipment and performs any/or all of the functions necessary to sort mail by zip codes for lowest postal discounts. Duties may vary according to jobs.Starting Base Wage is $12.25 p/h (10% shift pay for 2nd and 3rd shift or$13.47 p/h)Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:Maintains confidentiality of CDS and its clients' proprietary information.Maintain production and quality expectations. Will rotate between the various functions of the department.Operator FunctionFills auger with mail.Enters information into the computer.Checks mail, tags, etc. for errors.Places trays on racks for pullers.Removes machine jams.Sorts rejected mail.Assists in staging mail.Troubleshoots basic machine problems.Assures proper sequence and location of mail.Puller FunctionPlaces mail in correct tray/box in accordance with departmental procedures.Sorts and files rejected mail in the proper tray.Numbers trays.Places boxes/trays on rack.Stacks trays on pallet.Performs quality and destination checks.Removes machine jams.Return mail from mechanical bin to operator.The above duties may be performed anywhere from 0-100% of the workday.
