The Role

As a Commissions Specialist, you will be an integral part of our business being the primary contact for our business partner’s production and Commissions Override and Bonus information. The primary purpose is to calculate commission overrides and provide excellent customer service to our business partners and clients.

Essential Job Functions, other duties assigned

Prepare commission files, calculate override payout amounts, interpret rate schedules and compensation grids, and investigate reporting errors.

Analyze reports and balance to the general ledger in order to calculate commission override payout amounts.

Manage, research, and respond to emails in the Commissions team’s shared mailboxes. Research and respond to agents and wholesalers regarding commission and bonus information.

Obtain and understand commission information from carriers, ensuring the data is complete and accurate. Research and resolve discrepancies

Experience and Education


Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Adobe

Experience in financial services, annuities, and/or insurance a plus


Associate degree in accounting or a related field from a two-year college or 3-5 years professional related experience or a combination of both
