Consolidated Management C Payroll Coordinator - Consolidated Management in Urbandale, Iowa

Consolidated Management Company (CMC) a rapidly growing food service provider is currently seeking a full-time Payroll Coordinator.

The purpose of this role is to process and reconcile the biweekly payroll for 100+ employees in multiple states, process unit period billings, reconcile remote bank accounts, . This role requires attention to detail and working as part of a team Monday - Thursday from 8am - 5pm and Friday 8-2:30.

  • An associate degree in accounting, or 5 years of Payroll related work experience

  • Working knowledge of ADP

  • Experience with Great Plains Software

  • Intermediate Excel knowledge

    Pay is $18.50 - $21.50 (depending on experience)

    Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Process multi-state payrolls for hourly and salaried team members

  • Input data including hours worked, taxes, insurance and other deductions to be withheld and employee identification into ADP

  • Compute changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and loan payments for individual employees and updates personnel records. Verifies updates to data files in master payroll records

  • Payroll Integration into General Ledger

  • Record data concerning transfer of employees between units

  • Coordinate additions, changes and deletions from company sponsored insurance programs to ensure appropriate information is distributed to employees and that coverage is extended as appropriate.

  • Assists Team Members in accessing individual on-line payroll accounts

  • Coordinate with HR re: termination process including pay-outs of PTO and severance pay

  • Monitors, collects & submits appropriate information WOTC

  • Reviews withholdings including garnishments and subsequent disbursements along with related filings for all state and federal payroll tax liabilities

  • Review and reconcile 401K withholdings to disbursements made to Administrator and to CMC’s General Ledger

  • Prepare annual payroll reports required by insurance company audits to determine final general and workers compensation premium liability

  • Reconciles payroll withholdings by state for year-end financial review

  • Prepare review related payroll work papers for annual Federal and State Tax filings under the direction of the CFO

    Cross Train for the following activities:

  • Prepare sales billing from information supplied from units paperwork and enter into Excel spreadsheets

  • Verify charges against unit contracts to ensure correct pricing

  • Post all sales and cash activity into Great Plains Accounting Software System

  • Distribute period end billings

  • Assist as needed in period end and year end close process

  • Assist CFO with annual budgeting process

  • Coordinate preparation of monthly bank reconciliations

  • Process and pay State Sales Tax monthly, quarterly, annually.

  • Payroll Integration into General Ledger

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Products including Excel and Word

  • Back up for Accounting analysis and cash transfers from general cash account to payroll accounts

  • Prepare review related payroll work papers for annual Federal and State Tax filings under the direction of the CFO

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

  • Experience with ADP payroll software

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Experience with Great Plains Accounting Software a plus

  • 5 years of related experience
