Title: Performance Engineer - 73925

Your Position:


As a Performance Engineer for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group located Urbandale, IA, you will ensure the quality of the agriculture products, solutions, and production systems. You will utilize analytical, reactive, and regression averse test strategies to verify and quantify the performance of intelligent, connected machines.

  • Use the tech stack to verify and quantify the performance of products across spectrum of configurations and use cases.

  • Partner with product groups, software developers, performance engineers, and verification champions to deliver aligned holistic verification plans.

  • Present and communicate data in a visually concise and consumable manner.

  • Automate tests using state-of-the-art simulation frameworks and tools.

  • Collect engineering data for root cause analysis of issues.

What Skills You Need

  • Demonstrated experience working with mechatronics, including a solid understanding of electronics.

  • Demonstrated experience with a programming language.

  • Exposure to embedded electronics verification or development techniques and tools.

  • Exposure to the design or testing of control systems.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

What Make You Stand Out

  • Experience with operating farm equipment and knowledge of farming operations.

  • Practical working knowledge and application of CAN, or other networking communication protocols.

  • Master's degree in an applicable field.


  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Science or Technology related discipline
