Candidates who want to become a key partner in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management will be interested in this opening for a Financial Analyst. This person will conduct financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. This position's duties will also include advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. This Financial Analyst role is a short-term contract / temporary to full-time employment opportunity in the Waterloo, Iowa, area.
How you will make an impact
Edit and manage forecasting reports
Manage monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
Participate in planning with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Understand and communicate internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
Monitor monthly and quarterly performance by comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources effectively
Research performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
Oversee the monthly and quarterly financial close process by working with Accounting
Candidate that feels comfortable working with large amounts of information and handling expectations
Support contacts in Accounting and Operations to execute business plans
Keep up weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
Empower effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support Requirements - Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
Excel Formulas experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience considered)
Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Skilled in Spreadsheet and ERP system
