Function: Customer & Product Support
Title: Part Time Student - Customer and Product Support - Waterloo, IA - 51191
This role will provide support for a dynamic team focused on John Deere Tractor Customer Uptime and Customer and Product Support deliverables for current and future tractor programs.
Activities will include, but are not limited to:
Assisting with Customer and Product Support training development including:
Collaborating with CS Planning and Analytics Leader to develop training material
Reviewing training material
Organizing training into central storage location
Planning training sessions with Customer Support Planning team
Tracking and reporting Customer Support Planning activity status and communicating directly with Customer Support Planners when action is required.
Developing templates and guidance documents for common Customer Support activities.
Updating key performance indicator dashboards.
Leveraging the latest technology in supporting Customer Support Engineers with data gathering and conducting product reviews.
What It Takes
Great interpersonal skills, ability to influence without authority, and work on a team
Organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Demonstrated experience in planning, organizing, and time management
Microsoft Office Programs: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Pursuing a four-year degree in Business, Marketing, Ag Technology, Engineering/Engineering Technology, or related degree programs
Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university
Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
Graduation date of May 2020 or later
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year
35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester
A strong candidate will also have
Experience developing and providing training
Basic understanding of John Deere dealer/distributor network; with service and sales focus
Knowledge of farm equipment business and familiarity with current tractor offerings
Technical tractor system knowledge
Extended Microsoft suite of products including: SharePoint, Office, and Outlook (e-mail and calendar scheduling)
