Product Engineer - Creo Parametric experience is required - Waterloo, Iowa (50613)


Perform basic product design and analysis work for a defined portion of a project within a team environment. Provide input to design solutions, participate in design reviews and develop recommendations within established guidelines. Work and decisions are reviewed by supervisors before implementation.

Description of the major duties performed in this job:

  • Produce and/or evaluates possible design solutions that meet product requirements for cost, quality, and performance-based on knowledge of engineering applications while working within a cross-functional team.

  • Apply existing applications to routine problems.

  • Analyze assignments and determine engineering specifications that must be fulfilled for routine problems or projects.

  • Compile and furnish necessary information to document the design solution required for the building of prototypes and adoption of the design into production (engineering decisions, reports, part drawings and bill-of-material).

  • Learn and apply company engineering policies and practices; learn about company products.

  • Support development and execution of test and/or analysis plan for product verification and validation.

Specialized skills, knowledge and education:

  • Degree in an Engineering/Technology/Science discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)

  • Skill in using computer-aided design and/or engineering tools. Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.

  • Experience using Creo Parametric is required

  • Understanding of engineering principles as they relate to Product Design. Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.

Work Experience :

  • Engineering experience related to Product Design – Less than 1 year

  • Technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems

  • Experience with engineering tools, systems, and databases. – Less than 1 year

  • Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) systems. (CREO)– Less than 1 year

Work Authorization:

  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship. At start of the position, workers must have US Work Authorization as either a US Citizen or Green Card Holder only. Visa status is unavailable for this role.
