The Program Assistant provides support to the Community Services department by completing organization, filing, and communication tasks. Duties include filing, organizing, quality reviews of files, communicating with external entities, gathering documents for audits, proofreading and editing documents, data entry, and other duties as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to read the English language proficiently in order to review data, follow policy, procedure, guidelines, and written instructions
Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Ability to operate a variety of office machines
Telephone communication skills
Ability to concentrate on detailed work assignments including accurate proofreading and transcribing
Ability to type 40 WPM
High school diploma or GED + two (2) years' administrative experience OR
Combination of related education and experience equal to two (2) years
Post job offer background check (criminal history, sex offender registry, child & dependent adult abuse registries, OIG exclusion database, and SAM exclusion database)and drug screen required.
