Purpose:
Business Intelligence (BI) Developers are data wizards! They collect, transform, and analyze and present data to unlock valuable insights for businesses. From designing data models to creating interactive dashboards, BI Developers bridge the gap between raw data and informed decision-making. Ensuring data accuracy and alignment with Data Governance best practices will be key. Additionally, you’ll actively contribute to large project efforts and mentor junior team members.
Accountabilities:
Data Analysis :
Uncover trends and insights by analyzing data.
Structure diverse data sources for analysis.
Provide valuable insights into overall business performance.
BI Solutions Development :
Develop tailored BI solutions to meet business reporting needs.
Update existing BI reports based on business user requests.
Collaboration :
Work closely with business users to understand their reporting requirements.
Establish company standards and common reporting terminology.
Align reporting requests with our standards
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Analytics.
5+ years of experience, including leadership in BI projects.
SQL and Database Knowledge : Proficiency in SQL (Structured Query Language) is critical. You’ll be working with databases, querying data, and designing data models.
Data Warehousing : Understanding data warehousing concepts and experience with tools like AWS (S3, Athena, etc ) Mic rosoft SQL Server, Oracle, or Snowflake.
ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) : Familiarity with ETL processes and tools (e.g., Alteryx, Python)
BI Tools : Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or MicroStrategy.
Programming Languages : Knowledge of programming languages like Python, or R can be beneficial.
Statistical Analysis : Basic understanding of statistical methods for data analysis.
Communication : Effective communication skills are essential for collaborating with business users, understanding their requirements, and presenting findings.
