Purpose:
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will elicit, analyze, and document business and technical needs of projects involving Trading Platforms with a scope of medium to large complexity, vitality, risk, and technical and regulatory sophistication. You'll collaborate closely with your team, coordinate the work of other business system analysts (as needed), and act as a vital liaison between business and IT partners. You will report directly to the Manager of Software Development.
Accountabilities:
Support medium to large projects involving and risk encompassing multiple departments.
Facilitate interviews with business and technology departments, to coordinate comprehensive needs and potential interdependencies.
Partner with Product Owners to identify requirements for system and process enhancements.
A ctively participate and drive some of the Scrum ceremonies, contributing to daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
Gather user requirements and acceptance criteria from partners and translate them to user stories for the development teams to work from.
Analyze business problems and make recommendations for creative solutions.
Facilitate, prioritizes, and proposes business process re-designs to improve process results.
Embrace change and provide encouragement to guide others through change, handle conflict.
Foster relationships across multiple business and technology areas.
Increase awareness of best practices to improve business capabilities.
Proficient at right-sizing the message to the audience.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
3+ years of Business System Analysis experience with a strong working proficiency in Scrum practices. Solid understanding of Scrum within an Agile environment with experience in the delivery of web-based solutions.
Proficient in business analysis concepts (business process modeling (BPM), context diagrams, use cases, user stories).
Use resource tools to manage project resource demand (as needed).
Proficiency with techniques used in requirements elicitation, project scoping, requirements analysis, and project planning and analysis activities.
BABOK certification preferred.
