Aerotek Medical Biller in West Des Moines, Iowa


Daily Duties:

This role will initially assist with payment posting and invoicing for homecare and hospice. After they are up to speed on this, they will begin to train in other areas.

This position will be assisting with Home Care and Hospice billing which is a whole new set of rules compared to other medical billing. This billing will be held to the PDGM rules for 2021. The claims are different in billing for Home Care and Hospice billing.

This position will also be using Netsmart for billing.

Work on pre-billing checks and review all information to assure it is correct.

Assist with billing the claim - assure the system is correctly set up to perform billing, check claims status, and contact payers with denials to talk through issues with the payment.

Will also follow up on aging accounts and invoicing, post payments, and reconcile in the billing system to stay on top of total money received.

Resolves claim denials with Medicare, Medicaid and other third party payers

Collects billing statistics for reporting purposes

Adheres to data entry accuracy and integrity that is established by standards and guidelines

Repairs informational account statements for patients if needed

Collects accounts receivable and prepares bad debt analysis

Classifies and records receipts of payment

Prepares timely and accurate accounts receivable and run reports to ensure accounts are correct

Re-credentials all professional staff with reimbursement sources
