General Function
Develop, maintain, and train pharmacy compliance at all retail locations. Monitors individual pharmacy data to ensure compliance with all company processes, Medicare/Medicaid program processes, and regulation processes. Requires travel and overnight stays.
*Centrally located residency is required within the area.

Accountable and Reports to: Vice President, Pharmacy Operations Pharmacy Supervisors

Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for Pharmacy Quality Commitment reporting/communications
Uses the Board of Pharmacy checklist or internal checklist to perform audits
Performs controlled substance audits
Verifies the following:
Annual Controlled Substance Inventory
Staffing, registration, etc.
Licenses (current and displayed)
Record retention
Technology equipment is in working order
Policy and Procedure manual
Methguard licenses and staff training/authorized users
HIPAA certifications
Pharmacy inventory for stores on CARS
Schedule II security (all states)
POA forms and revocations
Signage and hours
Comments on facility conditions in audit reports
Ensures dress code compliance
Maintains and tracks secure access (keys & codes)
Reports to work when scheduled and works expected number of hours
Education/Experience Required
High school degree; Two years of pharmacy experience and licensed pharmacy technician. Must be minimum of 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license, with no DOT restrictions
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to solve practical problems; variety of variables with limited standardization; interprets instructions
Requires extreme confidentiality
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be extremely detail oriented, organized, and capable of multi-tasking
Requires accuracy and ability to meet multiple deadlines
Must be able to perform arithmetic, algebraic, and geometric calculations
Possess strong computer and analytical skills with an interest in statistical information
Must have complete understanding of day to day business in pharmacy industry
Ability to compose original correspondence; follow technical manuals; and have increased contact with store directors and pharmacy teams
Physical Requirements
Must be able to physically perform light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally.
Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, and color vision, and field of vision.
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Stooping, reaching, climbing, small stepladder, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Working Environment
This position is conducted in both office and retail settings. Weekly travel and overnight stays
