Purpose:

The Senior Social Media Partner is responsible for supporting Athene’s social strategy through the day-to-day social media community management and engagement for the business. The successful candidate will ensure social media is fully and appropriately incorporated into campaigns, product launches and business initiatives and oversee regular tracking and reporting to provide ongoing recommendations for improving upon strategies to achieve optimal results.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide 24/7 online community management support to monitor user engagement, comments and complaints according to company policies and procedures.

  • Provide on-site training, industry conference and event social media support, as needed.

  • Provide social media best practices and ongoing social training to Athene’s internal experts and thought leaders, including Athene leadership and Sales team members; manage relationships with supported executives on LinkedIn and provide professional support and communication when managing social content to be published on their behalf.

  • Provide social media expertise and oversight within content creation, including blog articles, company presentations, webinars and other deliverables as applicable.

  • Support social marketing strategies and tactics and ensure integration of social media within overall marketing goals.

  • Act as key contact for social media partners and continually monitor new opportunities for platform enhancements and/or additional partnerships to ensure a best-in-class social strategy is maintained for Athene, in line with the organization’s audiences and objectives.

  • Create and optimize engaging written content to be used across various social media platforms, as needed.

  • Manage regular tracking and reporting of social media content and campaign metrics to assess against goals; implement and maintain oversight of consistent social media personality, voice and messaging for all content creation.

  • Monitor and manage social advocacy platform and Athene’s social channels, including content scheduling and calendaring, and provide administrative system support to Athene leadership and Sales team members.

  • Provide ongoing competitor analysis and stay apprised of trending content to inform content/social strategy and development; leverage data and emerging trends, including channels, technologies and social advertising formats, to support the ongoing refinement of Athene’s social strategy and optimization of content distribution.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 4+ years of Marketing and Communications experience required.

  • Superior communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Proficiency and proven success using social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and others to achieve business goals is essential.

  • Proficient in using multi-social posting programs such as Hootsuite.

  • Relevant experience determining a target audience and how to cater unique marketing campaigns to capture attention appropriately on different social channels.

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities.

  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite.

  • General knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and internet ranking for web content.

  • Must be results-driven, with experience in metrics gathering and reporting and the ability to use data to optimize social media content strategy.

  • Adept at dealing with ambiguity and a frequently changing work environment.

  • Experience in Financial Services, Insurance industry desired but not required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism or related field or equivalent experience.
