Robert Half International Support Project Manager/Lead in WEST DES MOINES, Iowa
Manages to successful completion, any projects or sub-projects as assigned within the department. Manages the definition, development, and delivery of information technology business projects, which meet the requirements, costs, and schedules as approved in the project plan.
Develops, oversees and measures the project work effort on the following dimensions: Scope, quality, time, cost, resources, communication, risk, hardware/software needs, integration.
Ability to lead work across a diverse set of internal teams and vendors and coordinate activities of each for a successful joint delivery.
Ability to lead the team in identification and refinement of work, including lead time, dependencies, prioritization, and sequencing associated with delivering defined value to the business on schedule.
*Ability to identify and proactively manage project risks associated with resources, budget, schedule, and technology
Leads the project by: requesting resources based on the projects needs; managing the work activities of the project resources; removing obstacles to team success; measuring progress and adapting project approach as needed; following sound project methodologies/ company policies and implementing the resulting solution to the satisfaction of the client(s).
Utilizes the Athene designated work environment tools, including IT, HR, Time Entry and other Athene systems.
Develops a project and communication plan for each project, which involves the client and impacted departments.
Keeps appropriate parties informed of the projects progress and problems.
Presents to senior management the status of the project, expected outcomes, and project risks.
Monitors the status of specific sub-projects related to the overall project incorporating that into the overall plan.
Creates and/or modifies project reports using the Athene USA reporting tools and standards.
Creates project performance metrics related to expected outcomes and adjusts project approach to meet the project objectives.
Follows and adheres to company defined IT standards and procedures.
Mentors and coaches less experienced Project Managers.
Five (5+) or more years of progressively responsible project management experience
Experience delivering enterprise technology projects focused on Telephony, Network, and/or Cloud solutions
Experience using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience delivering projects using both Waterfall and Agile / Scrum delivery models
