Holy Trinity Catholic Schools is looking for a fulltime Site IT Support Specialist for our 1:1 Apple device school system. Our school system consists of three campuses; HTC ECC in Fort Madison (Daycare - PK) HTC ECC and Elementary in West Point (Daycare - 5th Grade) and HTC Jr/Sr High in Fort Madison (6th-12th Grade).

JOB SUMMARY and RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Site IT Support Specialist provides technical support of desktop computers, applications, and related technology. Support includes specifications, installation, and testing of computer systems within established standards and guidelines. Activities require interaction with application software management system and Apple Education apps and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique problems. Assists in maintenance and testing of network servers and associated equipment.

The responsibility of the Site IT Support Specialist is to:

  • Assist staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines.
  • Completes student enrollment and management of iPads (K-8) and MacBook Air(9-12) installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of teacher and staff desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines.
  • Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with apple computing equipment and software.
  • Works with co-workers to support databases, Telcom, remote access, internet, applications and other points of connectivity.
  • Works with co-workers to determine and resolve problems.
  • Ensures desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers and administrative systems.
  • Performs setup and configuration of desktop, iPad, and laptop equipment.
  • May train and orient staff on use of hardware and software.
  • Assesses functional needs to determine specifications for purchases; purchases hardware and software and orders computer supplies.

REQUIREMENTS

  • College Degree in computer related field preferred:
  • 3 years of hands-on desktop support experience with IOS Operating System.
  • Troubleshooting experience in a networked corporate environment.
  • Apple Apps and management systems proficiency; excellent computer skills including creating/utilizing reports.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
