Job Description

Join our team at Woodward Resource Center (WRC) as a Resident Treatment Technician. As part of the WRC team, you'll:

  • Ensure the rights of individuals are respected and upheld.

  • Instruct, lead, direct, and monitor work tasks of individuals to ensure quality work.

  • Provide continuous active treatment programs to promote independence.

  • Instruct individuals and shape behaviors in the areas of work, social, and interpersonal behaviors so individuals learn acceptable conduct necessary for successful community integration.

  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment for individuals.

  • Complete administrative procedures to enhance the WRC mission.

  • Assist individuals in developing person-centered Individual Support Plans (ISPs).

  • Interact with individuals with sensitivity, dignity, and respect.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Experience equal to eighteen months of full time work as a nursing or therapeutic assistant in a health care facility or other facility for the intellectually disabled, mentally ill, elderly, physically ill or disabled;

OR

any equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one year of post high school education (thirty semester hours or equivalent academic units) with an emphasis in nursing and/or the social or behavioral sciences for one year of experience to a maximum substitution of one year.
